Jordi Marin Gest
Born of French and Spanish parents in the same barrio of Mexico City as Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, Jordi Marin Gest began his career in figurative art, working in portraiture and sculpture. Having completed a BFA in Illustration in Laguna Beach, California, and an MFA in Sevilla, Spain, since 1996 he has exhibited in mixed disciplines of art, including shows in the USA, UK, France, Spain, China, Germany and Mexico.
The fundamental source of creating art is life and living. Exploring the visual world and the creations held within is my living goal, manifested with the graphic expression of my experience as a human being. My artistic focus is capturing a personal vision of the human condition, channeled through a combination of physical and digital oil paint.
